TWISTED SISTERS * By John Bannon
Twisted Sisters has been highly acclaimed as the best trick of its type. It's hard to believe so much magic could happen with virtually no moves. The performer places two packets of cards, one red backed and one blue backed, on the table. The first spectator is given a choice of either the red packet or the blue packet. She is asked to imagine that the packet consists of four Queens and to merely think of any one of the Queens. (There is no equivoque: the spectator may choose either packet and any one of the four Queens). From the other packet, a second spectator thinks of one of the remaining Queens. The performer boldly states that he will cause the two thought of cards to change places. After a magical jester, the spectators reveal their thought of Queens. The packets are fairly spread on the table and the thought of Queens are now face up. The Queen in the blue packet, moreover, is red backed. Similarly, the Queen in the red packet is blue backed. The thought of cards have indeed "changed places" with each other. The performer then hazards a guess that one question is on every one's mind: What would have happened if either spectator, or both, had thought of a different Queen? The performer remarks that it's a good thing they didn't, because it would not have worked. The remaining cards in each packet are turned face up and found to be Jokers, not Queens at all. If you have not had the opportunity to pick this up until now, I strongly suggest you do so! The above described effect is completely accurate, and very easy to do. (Bicycle)
